Our Projects

Maine Students for Climate Justice organizes events through out the State of Maine and beyond to address the issues that impact the youth of Maine.

Generation Climate Rising

Maine lost an election in November by providing a climate denier a seat as Governor. Climate change is harming the people in Maine right now with the consequences of climate change not evenly distributed. The youth of Maine will inherit this crisis. By denying climate change our governor is denying that parts of our state are suffering. If our governor refuses to act on climate justice, then WE will!

Generation Climate Convergence

THIS October 4th and 5th, Maine college and high school aged youth are invited to a weekend-long convergence to grow and amplify the youth climate movement in our region

SPEAKER: Sherri Mitchell, Indigenous rights activist, will be speaking from 7:30-9pm. It'll be in Talbot Hall on the USM campus. This portion of the event is open to the public.
On Sunday, join Maine Students for Climate Justice to learn about our coalition and how you can get involved!
The event is in partnership with Maine Students for Climate Justice, 350 Maine and Pine Tree Youth Organizing.

Thank You!

On March 2nd, over 1,000 people came out to tell President Obama and Secretary Kerry to reject the northern leg of Keystone XL. Thank you to everyone who attended or supported us from afar.
